Emmy Scherer
I was first gifted a small point-and-shoot camera for Christmas at age 7, and I’ve had a camera in my hand ever since. What started as snapping photos of anything and everything around me has evolved into shooting for the World Surf League, capturing Division I sports moments at Cal Poly, and building my own photography business in 2020. As a magna cum laude graduate in Journalism with a focus on Public Relations, I've discovered that while technical skills are of the utmost importance, it's the art of visual storytelling that truly drives me. There's something so incredible about capturing those split-second moments that tell a whole story, and that’s what I hope my career is full of.
When I'm not behind the camera, you'll find me pursuing a new project or hobby one month, then completely absorbed in something new the next. My constant curiosity and drive for excellence keeps my work fresh and pushes me to look at projects from different angles. I'm someone who goes all-in on anything I put my mind to, and my family, friends, and clients always know they can count on me to deliver exceptional results no matter what – even if I have to withstand extreme weather or work at abnormal hours to get the perfect shot.
